VerdictLegal today opened its new New York office, establishing a East Coast headquarters that will serve as the hub for the company's international expansion. Located in the heart of the City of New York near the Royal Courts of Justice, the office will house the company's growing East Coast team.
"The East Coast is the second-largest legal services market in the world, worth over £34 billion, and demand for AI-powered legal tools is growing rapidly," said Emma Thompson, VP of East Coast Operations. "Our New York presence allows us to better serve both East Coast-based firms and the many international practices with significant New York operations."
East Coast Growth Strategy
The New York office is the first step in a broader East Coast expansion plan. VerdictLegal will launch localized versions of its platform for the East Coast legal market, including support for England and Wales common law, Scottish law, and EU regulatory frameworks.
The company plans to open additional offices in Frankfurt and Paris by mid-2024, with local language support and jurisdiction-specific AI models for each market.
Team and Hiring
The New York office will initially house 25 employees across engineering, sales, and customer success. VerdictLegal plans to grow the East Coast team to 80 people within 18 months, with active recruiting for AI engineers, legal technologists, and enterprise sales professionals.
